The Willow Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of a brand-new website along with an expansion of funding that furthers their mission of providing support and life

enrichment programming to older adults served by Halton Region Services for Seniors Division.

"On behalf of our board, I am very pleased to add the assisted living programs located in Oakville, Milton and Burlington to our funding portfolio,” said foundation chair, Melody Pitts. “Along with the Long-Term Care Homes and Adult Day Programs, we now provide funding to all areas currently served by Halton Region Services for Seniors. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our generous donors for their invaluable contributions and to the board for their dedication to the growth of The Willow Foundation.”

About Halton Region’s Assisted Living Programs

The Assisted Living programs provide on-site support services to older adults who would like to continue living in their own homes but require assistance with personal care supports. The programs are available to individuals who live in designated buildings or neighbourhood areas (within close geographical proximity to the building). These programs are aimed at older adults with complex needs, and include 24- hour access to frequent, urgent and essential personal care supports.

“I am very pleased The Willow Foundation is expanding support to our Assisted Living Programs,” said Andrea Pohl, Director of Halton Region Services for Seniors.”

“Our clients will enjoy the added social programming and connectedness along with numerous health and education opportunities.”

The Willow Foundation’s funding portfolio provides a broad range of support and life enrichment programming such as music and art therapy, virtual reality technology and supplies for various crafts and special events. Funds are raised through public donations, sponsorships, grants, legacy giving and an annual sponsored golf tournament.

“The Foundation’s focus on enriching the lives of older adults demonstrates the positive difference achievable within our community,” concluded Andrea Pohl.
