Support Us

The Willow Foundation provides funding for programs and support that may otherwise be unaffordable. This includes funding for events and outings and several ongoing programs such as virtual reality, art therapy and music therapy.

Creative art pursuits provide older adults with multiple benefits, not the least of which is improved cognitive function. These therapies can draw a person living with dementia out of a world of isolation and into a world of comfort and connection. For the individual with Alzheimer’s disease, music and art therapies can be a gift that helps restore their sense of personhood.

A financial gift to our Foundation is your opportunity to enrich the lives of older adults supported by Halton Region Services for Seniors. We are funded by the generosity of our donors, and it is only through this support that we can continue to operate. Gifts can include a one-time donation, monthly giving, memorial giving and planned giving.

The Michelle Gauthier Annual Bursary

Michelle Gauthier.png

Michelle Gauthier was a nurse for 34 years, 25 of those in the Halton Region with the latter part spent at Allendale Long-Term Care home as Director of Nursing.

Michelle devoted her energy to the creation of the Allendale Foundation now known as the Willow Foundation. Each year, to honor Michelle’s memory, the Foundation presents a $1,000 bursary to a Halton Region clinical staff member looking to forward their career.
